SOS — Smart Optimal Solutions — takes its name from the oldest call for help there is. Before it was a company, it was a response: to communities running on aging infrastructure, to the gap between what technology can do and who actually gets to use it.
Where it began

SOS was founded by four people who arrived at the same calling from four different directions. Brought together by shared faith and a conviction that business is a tool for good, this coalition brings aerospace-grade systems discipline and pioneering energy and business expertise to deliver what no single-product vendor can: one complete, integrated smart infrastructure stack.
Spent a lifetime building institutions that shaped generations of Americans.
Spent years discipling and training Christian entrepreneurs across multiple continents, helping them to build business as a tool for good.
Spent over 500 days in space, looking down at a planet God entrusted to us — and came home ready to build.
Founded NetZero Energy and spent over a decade pioneering the shift to sustainable power u2014 before merging the company into SOS in 2025.

Col. Jeff Williams spent his career applying systems engineering discipline to problems where failure isn’t an option — building and operating the International Space Station, and studying the planet it orbits every 90 minutes. That vantage point left him with a conviction he carried home: SOS isn’t in the business of selling a product line and walking away.
