Our Mission
What we’re building toward.
What won’t move.
Our mission, vision, and the values that govern every decision we make β from hiring to product commitments to which contracts we walk away from.
Mission Statement
To deploy smart, sustainable infrastructure in the communities that need it most β generating the energy, data, and economic capacity that powers human flourishing, while building a redemptive enterprise whose success directly funds global social transformation.
Vision Statement
A world where every community β from dense American cities to emerging African neighborhoods β has access to clean energy, intelligent connectivity, and the economic opportunity that flows from modern infrastructure. SOS will have planted the smart solar pole that made it possible.
Our Why
The world sent up a distress signal. Communities everywhere are struggling with aging infrastructure, energy insecurity, and disconnection from the digital economy. We answered that call.
How We Decide
Seven things
that don’t move.
These aren’t marketing values β they’re the principles that govern hiring, partnerships, and product commitments. If a decision conflicts with one of these, the decision changes. Not the value.
Redemptive Purpose
We’re in business to do good, full stop. Every dollar of profit is a resource for community transformation, and every founder on this team would call that a form of stewardship rather than ownership. We don’t separate commercial success from social impact β they’re the same pursuit, done by the same people, every day.
Technical Excellence
We hold North American exclusivity for the world’s most advanced smart solar pole because we pursue the best solution, not the easiest one. That standard of engineering rigor applies to every installation we make, from a single LED retrofit to a greenfield smart city in Africa.
Radical Transparency
We publish our impact data. We tell clients exactly how much energy their infrastructure will produce, save, or generate in additional revenue. We do not overclaim, and we do not hide what we don’t yet have.
Community First
Infrastructure only has value if it serves the people who live around it. We design for the community, not just the contract. A project that extracts value and leaves is not an SOS project.
Long-term Thinking
We refuse to install infrastructure that will need replacing in five years. We build endowments, not annual budgets β and we target the hardest markets because the long-term upside for communities is permanent.
Ecosystem Integrity
We do not sell parts. We build integrated systems where every component amplifies the next. A client who buys streetlights from SOS gets a data node in a broader energy intelligence network β not just light.
Inclusive Progress
Smart cities cannot only be built in wealthy zip codes. Through our minority-certification arm SOS Kendu and our commitment to African greenfield markets, we assert that the communities with the most to gain from modern infrastructure are the ones we are most committed to serving. Access to clean energy and connectivity is not a luxury β it is a right.

Built To Last
Built by people
who mean it.
When you work with SOS, you’re not just buying infrastructure from a vendor. You’re partnering with a company that measures success by what compounds after the install β in the grid, and in the people who maintain it.
