Empowering Portland’s Clean Energy Future
Located on Port of Portland land and funded through the Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF), Verde’s 1 MW Goodling Community Solar Annex delivers clean power to local households while trimming 30–40% off electrical bills. SOS is enhancing this site by commissioning two Agamine Double PV Off-Grid Solar Streetlights—marking the first installation of its kind in Portland. These technology-enhanced street-lamps deliver reliable, carbon-neutral illumination without trenching or grid dependence.
The Agamine Technical Edge:

- 360-Degree Energy Yield: German-engineered vertical PV power tube utilizes high-performance monocrystalline cells to capture both direct and indirect sunlight.
- Weatherproof & Self-Cleaning: Unsusceptible to dust, sand, and snow, ensuring proven reliability in extreme weather conditions.
- Precision Illumination: Custom LED optics maximize lumen-per-watt efficiency while preventing light pollution.
- Off-Grid Independence: Provides total energy autonomy, reduces stress on the central grid, and lowers maintenance costs.
Sustainable energy is not optional—it is foundational to the long-term success and impact of any Smart City initiative. By integrating these smart hybrid streetlights, we are supporting Verde’s agrivoltaics and stewardship goals while demonstrating the real-world impact of cost-effective, sustainable infrastructure.
Together with Verde, we are demonstrating how smart infrastructure and community solar build safer, greener, and more connected communities. Join us on September 22nd, for the Summit and the Ribbon Cutting.
