At Trail Moss Park, the issue was not abstract. It was personal.

Families wanted to walk in the evening. Seniors wanted to move safely. Pet owners wanted to walk their dogs around the retention pond and sidewalk loop without fear. But as the sun went down, the path disappeared into darkness. What should have been a place of peace and community became a place of hesitation and risk.

The board and property management team knew the problem well: insufficient lighting created safety concerns and limited how residents could enjoy their own neighborhood. They began searching for solutions, only to discover a second, equally frustrating obstacle—traditional infrastructure.

Trenching. Conduit. Utility connections. Engineering. Permitting.

The costs quickly became overwhelming.

With their available budget, the reality was sobering: at best, one or two conventional light poles could be installed. One or two lights for an entire walking path. One or two small points of safety in a sea of darkness.

Then, they were introduced to a different way of thinking.

Not just lighting.

Infrastructure without the traditional infrastructure.

Smart, off-grid, and future-ready.

Through the evaluation process, the community leadership realized that the Agamine Smart Hybrid Solar Streetlight from Smart Optimal Solutions was not simply a pole with a lamp. It was a platform. It was a single piece of infrastructure capable of delivering:

  • High-quality, uniform illumination for safety and walkability.
  • Off-grid operation, eliminating trenching and utility construction.
  • AI-enabled security through integrated Bosch surveillance cameras.
  • Cellular and fiber readiness for future connectivity.
  • A scalable smart-city backbone for the entire community.

Suddenly, the question was no longer, “How many lights can we afford?”

It became, “How much safer and smarter can we make our community?”

With nearly the same budget that would have produced only one or two traditional lights, Trail Moss Park was now able to plan for fourteen intelligent, off-grid poles—transforming the entire walking loop into a well-lit, secure, and connected environment.

As conversations continued, deeper needs surfaced:

  • Speeding vehicles.
  • Concerns about security.
  • A desire for modern surveillance.
  • Long-term plans for connectivity and fiber access.

The board saw something powerful: one unified solution could meet them all.

The result was clarity—and unity.

After technical evaluation, financial analysis, and vision casting, the Trail Moss Park board came to a unanimous decision: the Agamine Smart Hybrid Street Lighting System was not just the best option; it was the right foundation for the future of their community.

Today, Trail Moss Park stands at the threshold of commissioning:

  • 14 smart hybrid poles
  • 4 equipped with cellular connectivity and AI-powered Bosch security cameras
  • 10 fully off-grid lighting poles illuminating the sidewalk and retention pond path

A community once limited by darkness is now defined by safety, visibility, and intelligent infrastructure.

This is more than a lighting project.

It is a story of a community that refused to settle for partial solutions.

A board that chose vision over limitation.

And a technology that proved that safety, sustainability, and smart design do not have to be cost-prohibitive—they can be transformative.

For HOAs and community associations across Florida, Trail Moss Park is no longer just a neighborhood.

It is a model.
